Areas of Interest

The use of the Web for information-seeking purposes has become a common experience. Document integrity has become a real issue. It is often uncertain whether information/articles published on the Web will have the same URL (uniform resource locator), much less even be on the Web, from one day to the next. It is also harder to determine the validity of information located on the Web as basically anyone is able to publish on the Web, bypassing traditional publication channels. Because of this it is important for us to become more knowledgeable in determining the integrity of information found on the Web as well as its source.
